Youth Dance Programs at AbunDance

Creative Movement for Ages 3–5

A fun introduction to dance through creative play, imagination, and basic techniques as a foundation. Great for motor skills, rhythm, and musicality.

Age-Specific Ballet & Combo Classes

Age 3: Ballet
Age 4: Ballet & Jazz
Age 5: Ballet, Jazz, & Tap

Schedule: Offered twice weekly — one weekday and one Saturday option.

Recreational Classes for Ages 6–17

Open to all levels; no prior experience required. These classes build coordination, stamina, confidence, and strong movement habits.

  • Level 1: Ages 6–7
  • Level 2: Ages 7–8
  • Level 3: Ages 8–10
  • Level 4: Ages 10–13
  • Level 5: Ages 14+
Now Offering

Hip Hop (Level 4 and above) Prerequisite: prior experience in Jazz or West African.

West African (All Levels) Featuring live drumming. Learn the cultural basis of the dance techniques we study in other classes.

Dance Company for Ages 10–17
BY AUDITION ONLY

Beginner • Intermediate • Advanced

A pre-professional program for dedicated dancers seeking advanced training and performance opportunities. Prior experience required.

Required Weekly Classes

Dancers must take a minimum of 4 weekly classes, chosen from:

  • Ballet
  • Tap
  • Jazz
  • Hip Hop
  • West African
  • Modern
  • Pointe
Season Commitments

A year-round program including:

  • Local performances

Youth Dance Program Policies & Guidelines

The 2025-2026 season will run from Sept 15 to June 6

Students will be placed into a dance program according to their age and experience level as determined by the Artistic Director, Ms. Armanii.

33 weeks of classes are planned with holidays and inclement weather accounted for. Makeup hours for missed classes are available during rehearsal week in May, and Open House in June.

Students may register for the season up until January 17, space permitting. There is an annual admin fee of $50 per family, non-refundable, due upon registration. Enrollment is for the entire season. We offer pay increments of one and ten tuition payments.

Our programs are not “month to month”, nor do we offer drop-in classes for kids.
