Armanii Shults
Founder & Artistic Director — AbunDance
Westfield, NJ Dance Studio
Armanii Shults is the founder and artistic director of AbunDance, a thriving dance studio in Westfield, NJ, serving dancers of all ages across Union County. With deep roots in the local dance community, Armanii is passionate about using movement as a powerful tool to build confidence, creativity, and lifelong resilience in her students.
Armanii’s journey began as a student of the late Mrs. Jay Skeete‑Lee at Rahway Dance Theatre, where she trained intensively for over ten years. Inspired by her mentor’s commitment to creating a safe, inclusive space for dancers of diverse backgrounds, Armanii embraced not only advanced technique but also the life skills dance can cultivate—discipline, self-expression, and strength of character.
After assuming leadership of Rahway Dance Theatre in 2020, Armanii expanded her vision by opening AbunDance in downtown Westfield. Her mission is to make exceptional dance training accessible to children, teens, and adults throughout Union County — from ballet and tap to jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and West African dance styles.
Armanii holds a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences from Rutgers University in Anthropology & Dance, and she is a former K‑12 Special Education teacher. Her background in education drives her focus on supporting each student’s unique journey—whether preparing them for professional study or helping them build confidence through movement.
Under Armanii’s guidance, AbunDance students have achieved remarkable milestones, including acceptance into performing arts high schools, competitive summer intensives, and college dance programs. Beyond performance, she measures success by how dance empowers her students to grow into thoughtful, capable individuals.
